Danai Hotel

HALKIDIKI

Set on an immaculate private beach, with enviable views, luxurious cabanas neatly provide shade from the glorious sunshine, where you can lazily feast on tasty treats.

I was delighted to be invited on a 2-night inspection trip to the well known Danai resort in Halkidiki.

It has an array of rooms and villas, with and without pools, to suit families and couples alike. Set in manicured gardens, nothing is too far away, and yet it has a relaxed and calm village feel.

The hotel boasts an enviable wine cellar, with an amazing sommelier who can talk you through its extensive collection. It was a particular highlight to learn so much about wine from someone with such a passion and flare for his profession.

Dining here is delicious, with both a traditional greek courtyard area for traditional Greek fare along with music and dancing, along with Sea Horse grill and the Andromeda offering modern Mediterranean fare.

I particularly enjoyed the hotel’s personal and attentive service, genuine warmth and family feel to the resort. The resort sells out early most summer, so early booking is extremely advisable
