I loved the simplicity and style of the complex, well-equipped rooms, stylish restaurants and ample space for adults and families alike.
I would suggest that it was aimed more so for the honeymooners and couples, but families are undoubtedly welcome.
Ritz Carlton & Four Seasons
LANGKAWI
A familiarisation trip to Malaysia gave me the perfect opportunity to check out the delightful Ritz Carlton and Four Seasons Langkawi. A blissful 2-night stay at each hotel allowed us to sample the fantastic cuisine and all that the hotels had to offer.
The Ritz Carlton had recently opened and was doing phenomenally well, and it was easy to see why. Rooms had an intimate jungle feel, yet everything was fairly close by, and within easy reach, or golf buggies were on hand to whisk you off to the adult or family pools.
Breakfast was a delight, as was the tasty offerings at the adult pool which provided an infinity backdrop over the ocean. The spa was a beautiful design, and the treatments were delightful, we were truly spoilt. The service across the property is spot on, efficient and genuine.
I loved my stay here and can thoroughly recommend.
Four seasons Langkawi Flanked by tropical rainforest, limestone cliffs and the emerald waters of the Andaman Sea, the natural beauty is as dramatic as it is serene. Tucked away within a UNESCO World Geopark, the Resort’s Malay-style pavilions and villas offer both quiet, romantic havens for lovebirds as well as versatile family-oriented retreats. You can wake up with a morning swim in your plunge pool before enjoying breakfast on the deck, then head out to explore the mysterious mangrove forests, winding rivers and ancient sea stacks that create the unique landscape.
The Geo Spa provided one of the best treatments that I have ever experienced and the authentic Malay cuisine at Ikan-Ikan before toasting the spectacular, jewel-tone sunset with a cocktail at Rhu Bar is a true delight.
