If I was asked to describe my idea of hotel heaven, I would say somewhere privately owned with beautiful pared-back interiors, a relaxed atmosphere, impeccable service, luxurious bathroom products and of course great food. An eco-conscious hotel that offers a sense of place and a real passion for the region and its heritage, then the Rosa Alpina is all of the above!

Located in the picture-perfect village of San Cassiano, the hotel sat stylishly and yet boldly with the Dolomites as its backdrop.
A warm welcome from all members of staff was natural and effortless, and you instantly felt part of the Rosa Alpina family.

The hotel was well appointed with a cinema room, gym, boot room, shop, library, kids playroom, cosy lounge, swimming pool and family area, and an adult-only spa complete with hammam and Finnish Sauna.

The option to really relax in the adults-only spa after a day on the slopes was a real treat, it was wonderfully peaceful and superbly appointed with fruit and beverages, an array of treatments were available by their therapists.

With the option of dining in the Fondue restaurant or the grill you certainly wouldn’t go hungry, but the jewel in the crown was their 3 Michelin star restaurant, St Hubertus was outstanding…. to dine at the chef’s table with a view to the kitchen was mesmerising, and a rare treat.

With an in-house boot fitting, and skis prepped and ready, their swift shuttle service delivers you to the slopes with ease and comfort, ready for an action-packed day in the mountains.

I had truly forgotten just how beautiful it was to ski in Italy, and to have done so as a guest of the wonderful owners of the Rosa Alpina was a match made in heaven.

I cherished every moment at this wonderful property, and would highly recommend it for both a winter or even a summer adventure where you can spend a night in their stunning mountain cabin
